Our Mission
Access to education starts with access.
More than 260 million children worldwide lack access to education, and for many communities, the barrier is not a lack of potential but in not being seen. Thinking Huts exists to notice and help close that gap with solutions designed for communities and the long term. We build more than schools. We help build the conditions for opportunity.
Thinking Huts develops education infrastructure with communities in places where learning spaces are urgently needed. Our work is designed to support students, strengthen local ecosystems, and create spaces that reflect the culture, environment, and aspirations of the people they serve.
Innovation is one part of the model — community is the foundation.
We use humanitarian-driven technology, including 3D-printed construction, to reduce build time, lower waste, and expand what is possible. But our approach is just as much about local partnership, job creation, thoughtful design, and building alongside communities.

About Us
Who we are
Thinking Huts is an infrastructure charity. Since 2015 we have built schools and delivered care packages in the geographies others don't notice, from Latin America to Madagascar — from our first school, Bougainvillea, to the Honeycomb Campus — each built with solar energy, potable water and sanitation.
Our approach
Every campus starts with listening. Communities shape the design, local teams are employed and trained to build, and each campus is designed to be cared for by the people it serves, for decades.
Who we work with
Students, families and educators in the communities we serve — and the individuals, families, brands and institutions who partner with us to build. Requests for campuses have now come from more than 18 countries.
A note on the journey: Bougainvillea, opened in 2022, was Madagascar's first 3D-printed school. Our campuses are built with solar energy, potable water and sanitation. School meals, scholarships, gardens and food security are coming next — launching with our holiday 2026 patronages.
