Our November Update
Hello Thinking Huts Family!
Exciting news to share for this month's update. The construction team on the ground led by Hery completed the foundation this month and they are preparing the site for the printer. The printer will be on the cargo ship in December with an anticipated arrival for us to begin printing our school in the second half of February 2022. Thank you for all your support and for making this initial dream come to life. Community volunteers will come together to paint a mural on the outside walls once the school is complete.
In the meantime, we are doing all that we can to ensure this pilot is finished as smoothly as possible. We are also planning out the next years for scaling beyond the pilot and capacity building to support a full time staff. We are excited to build many more schools in partnership with communities throughout Madagascar and countries around the world where schools are needed.
While this pilot is intended to streamline operations, we will continue iterating as we work towards fulfilling our vision of connecting remote communities by incorporating internet and solar power into our Hut designs. We are committed to expanding our network of local partners who oversee the supply of teachers and school maintenance so that we can focus on reducing construction time and costs with every build.
